Previously, Lebovitz had served as vice president and manager, Affiliated FM, as well as its operations vice president and area manager for Southern operations since 1998, after serving three years as district manager for the company's Atlanta operation. Prior to that, Lebovitz held a number of positions at FM Global in engineering, underwriting and sales. He joined the FM Global organization in 1985 as a loss prevention consultant.

Lebovitz holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Gervais Landry
Vice President, Eastern U.S. and Canada
Regional Manager, Affiliated FM

Gervais Landry is vice president, regional manager for Affiliated FM's Eastern U.S. and Canada operations. Based in Affiliated FM's Montreal, Quebec, Canada, office, Landry is responsible for developing a profitable book of business and overall operations throughout the East Coast and Canada.

Appointed to his current position in 2007, Landry previously served as vice president and director for Affiliated FM's Australia operations; vice president and area manager for its Canada operations; and district manager and production underwriter in its Montreal operations. He joined the company in 1985 as a loss prevention consultant.

Landry holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Polytechnique School of Montreal, Canada.

Brad C. Smegal
Operations Vice President, Area Manager,
Toronto Operations

Brad C. Smegal is operations vice president, area manager, for Affiliated FM’s Toronto operations. Based in the company’s Thornhill, Ontario, Canada, office, Smegal is responsible for Affiliated FM’s Canada operations from Ontario west to British Columbia. In this role, Smegal manages an underwriting, engineering and administrative staff that targets middle market commercial and industrial accounts.

Promoted to his current position in 2000, Smegal has worked more than 20 years in the insurance industry. He joined Affiliated FM in 1996 as a senior production underwriter. Smegal assisted in the creation of Affiliated FM’s “ProVision” form and the “ProVision” manufacturer’s policy. Most recently he was part of a three-member task force creating a new “ProVision” policy for the healthcare field.

Smegal received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Toronto, Toronto, Ont., Canada, and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ont., Canada. He is a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) and has taken a number of leadership and management courses offered through FM Global and other organizations.

Jean Servant
Operations Vice President, Area Manager,
Montreal Operations

Jean Servant is operations vice president, area manager of Affiliated FM’s Montreal operations. Based in the company’s Montreal, Quebec, Canada, office, Servant is responsible for the overall managing, underwriting and engineering services of accounts written within the operations’ territory, which includes Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec and the City of Ottawa, Ont., Canada. He also is responsible for growing the operation’s book of business, marketing, and achieving overall business goals.

Servant has more than 30 years experience within the insurance and real estate investment industries. Appointed to his current position in 2006, he previously served as Assistant Vice President, District Manager, Montreal Operations. He joined Affiliated FM in 1999 as a senior production underwriter. Prior to joining Affiliated FM, Servant worked in a variety of roles within the insurance and real estate investment industries, including senior underwriter; vice president and marketing manager for an Alpha brokerage house; assistant manager commercial lines; and president of his own company in acquisition, administration and speculation of real estate property, among others.

Servant holds a degree in administrative sciences from the Collège d'enseignement général et professionel (CEGEP) Maisonneuve, Quebec, Canada, and attended Arcand Secondary School majoring in science. Servant is a Fellow, Insurance Institute of Canada and received the Michael Parizeau award for having achieved both the Insurance Associate and Fellowship designations with the most honors within the shortest time frame.
